Harry is the founding member of Harry Boodhoo & Co Solicitors and qualified as a Solicitor in 1981. Harry is a popular and well-known figure in Manchester’s legal circles. When he started out as an articled clerk in Moss Side in 1978, the legal scene in Manchester was very different to how it is today. In 1986, as a young, enthusiastic and brave lawyer, he set up the practice Harry Boodhoo & Co as a sole practitioner.  His fearless commitment to justice, the law and to clients is without question and the firm soon grew from strength to strength with Harry at the helm. Harry is a very experienced advocate with substantial experience of dealing with very serious criminal cases and cases of complexity and sensitivity.  His work ethic is exceptional and he has taken on challenges,  represented in difficult cases, taken on clients others have turned down and he has never lost sight of the commitment to justice for all that underlies our profession.

He is a member of The Law Society Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme (CLAS) and of The Law Society Conveyancing Quality Mark Scheme (CQS). His criminal work covered a range of serious offences and complex crime. He is outstanding in his ability to explain complex matters simply to clients.

Nowadays Harry specialises in Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Powers of Attorney. Outside of work Harry’s hobbies include pan frying, music, football, rum and custard creams.

Cecilia O’Donoghue qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and has been representing clients ever since in a broad and varied professional life.  She began her career articled to the then Honorary French Consul in Manchester who was also a solicitor. She appeared as a defence advocate representing in criminal proceedings regularly and also as an advocate in the family courts.

She is an experienced professional in regulation and supervision and has trained and enabled many newcomers to the profession to qualify as solicitors and follow successful legal careers.

After graduating from Sheffield University with a Masters in Mathematics, Rohan decided against a career as a professional mathematician and started out by gaining experience in IT and accounts before eventually joining Harry Boodhoo & Co in 2012.

Rohan spent some time in the practice experiencing all areas of law before deciding upon conveyancing and is now an assistant conveyancer, which is a pity for the other departments because Rohan would have excelled in any area of law he chose to follow.   He is a true team player.

Having achieved outstanding marks in his Diplomas in Conveyancing Law and Practice, Rohan became a fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer and Commissioner for Oaths in May 2022.  Rohan is a fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer acting for buyers, sellers and lenders.

Apart from his exceptional academic credentials, one of Rohan’s many other talents is keeping a cool head in all aspects of property law. This makes him very popular with our clients and helps their transactions to run as smoothly as possible in an area that can be very challenging with the unexpected always threatening to derail our clients best laid plans. Having Rohan on your side is a huge bonus when navigating your way through selling your home or buying a new one. When big decisions are being made and big changes happening –you need someone you can rely on.  Rohan assists in delivering a consistently high quality conveyancing service.

Rohan is a keen and very talented sportsman enjoying tennis, football and golf.

Kasia studied for 5 years at the Academy of Management in Lodz, Poland, studying International Study of Finance and Banking. She spent 5 years gaining experience in sales and as a mortgage advisor in the banking sector before arriving at Harry Boodhoo & Co in 2014.

Kasia’s excellent interpersonal skills and intelligence soon landed her in legal cashiering and book-keeping where she is enjoying developing her knowledge and skills. She is a member of The Institute of Legal Finance and Management. Having started with Harry Boodhoo & Co at the grass roots level, Kasia is now a trained legal book keeper and has faced with us  significant changes in the practice through which she has shown herself to be a highly skilled and adaptable professional. She is now studying for her professional qualifications in Legal Financial Compliance and Accounts Rules and she hasn’t looked back since joining us.

Kasia is a keen runner, enjoys travel, is multilingual and is a highly valued and super cheerful member of our team.
